Device installation
A brief overview of the “Evaka” app
The “Evaka” app for iOS and Android devices can be downloaded for free from your mobile device’s app store.
Scan the QR code or click the image to download the Evaka mobile app:
User Setup Instructions
Account registration
- To Create user account and log-in to EVAKA app. Click “Register”
- Select country from a dropdown menu.
- Choose app language.
- Click “Next”.
- Enter your email address.
- Enter your telephone number.
- Click “Next”.
- Enter 4-digit verification code which was sent to your email. If you don’t get it, check the Spam folder.
- Click “Verify”.
- Create password.
- Click “Next”.
- Click “Ok”.
Charger onboarding
- Click “(+) Add new charger”.
- Enter 4 digit PIN code. Serial number and PIN code can be found on the RFID Reset Card, Quick guide or on the back of the charging station.
- Enter 9-digit serial number (SN) or scan the QR code.
- IOS.
- Select how your charger will connect to the internet Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi and LTE (Cellular).
- Click “Next”.
- Select your WI-FI SSID from the drop-down menu or enter manually.
- Enter your WI-FI password and click “Save”.
- Click “Go to home” & wait 2–3 minutes for the charger to configure and come online.
- Success! Your EVAKA charger has been onboarded and ready for use.
Note- if it takes longer than 3 minutes for the charger to come online – delete the charger from the settings and start Charger onboarding procedure from step 1.
Add Key
- Navigate to MY PROFILE -> MY KEYS.
- Click “MY KEYS”.
- Select one of the three options:
- Scan with phone. Scan the RFID key with your phone’s NFC reader. NFC reader is located on the top (back) of the phone in most models. Once the key is identified successfully – enter the name of your key and click SAVE.
- Scan with Charger. Scan the RFID key with your charger’s NFC reader. NFC reader is located under the EVAKA logo. Once the key is identified successfully – enter the name of your key and click SAVE.
- Enter manually. Fill in manually the ID from your RFID KEY. Once the key is identified successfully – enter the name of your key and click SAVE.
- Enter the name of your key.
- Click “SAVE”.
- Click “ADD” to assign the key to your charger(s).
- Click “NEXT”.
- Click “Remove”.
- Click “NEXT”.
Success! You have added the Key and assigned it to your charger.
To remove the added key, follow these steps:
Success! The added key has been removed.
Charger access
Evaka chargers are able to operate in two modes, OPEN & RFID. Out of the box the charger is set to OPEN mode. Navigate to chargers’ settings page in case you want to change the mode to RFID.
- Open mode. No authentication is required for starting a charge. Connect your car and charging will start automatically.
- RFID mode. User authentication will be required before each charge if you select RFID mode.
User can authenticate himself by:- EVAKA app. Connect a car and click START CHARGE.
- RFID key. Connect a car and tap your RFID key to a charger’s NFC reader which is located on the front of the charger just below the EVAKA logo.
Set schedule
Note: The scheduler feature is functional in RFID Charging access mode only.
- Navigate to scheduler.
- Click „(+)“ to set a new schedule.
- Set times when your charges should start and finish.
- Select weekdays when your schedule.
- Click „Save schedule“.
Current derating screen
- From the main device screen click inside the circle to enter the current derating screen.
- You will be able to set Max charging current.
- Click “To see charging history”.
Cable always locked
- Navigate to chargers’ settings page.
- Select Cable always locked ON to lock your charging cable in the chargers output socket.
Factory reset and remove charger
- Navigate to charger settings page.
- Factory reset and remove charger.
- Confirm if you really want to Factory reset by clicking “Factory reset”
